Sprinkler System Installation

First, we will evaluate your propery and its water supply. We will then test the soil and determine whether a ground sprinkler system or a drip irrigation system is best for your property.
Next, we will begin the installation process. Using our tehniques and equipment, we will work our hardest to minimize root damage and the scarring of your land. We will bury the valve box and PVC pipe, and the sprinkler heads will be placed according to your customized watering plan.
Upon completion of laying the sprinkler lines, the heads will be tested and adjusted to ensure proper rotation, spray, and distance. After these measurements are attained, we will tamp, backfill, and rake the areas that were disturbed during the installation process.
To finish the process, we will adjust the water usage levels and set the clock for your worry-free watering. A basic training of the system clock will be provided at the time of installation.
Spring Start Up
We know the joy of seeing the first signs of grass peaking through the random dustings of snow. Once the weather is consistently above freezing, let us startup and inspect your sprinkler system.
During your start-up appointment we work through a multi-point inspection to ensure that your sprinkler system is in proper working order. If any components are in need of replacement, we will discuss the issues with you and make the necessary repairs.
Your sprinkler system is a complex series of plumbing and electrical parts that require scheduled maintenance. We will run through your system using a checklist that includes reprogramming the controller, adjusting sprinkler nozzles, and checking for leaks.
When ready to move forward with turning on the water, we will slowly turn on the main valve and gently let the water fill the sprinkler pipe and manifold. Once the system is filled, we use tools to test the lateral pipes, sprinkler heads, controller box, rain sensor, system wiring, backflow device, and landscape coverage.
Winter Shut-Down
As the leaves begin to fall and the weather begins to cool, it is essential to winterize your sprinkler system to protect it from potential damage caused by freezing water. Water trapped in the irrigation lines, components, and heads can freeze and expand, which can cause cracks, breaks, or other damage to the system.
At Bozeman Landscape Solutions, we understand the importance of protecting your investment, and we provide professional sprinkler winterization services to ensure that your system is shut down properly.
Our team will begin by shutting off the water supply to your system, and open the manual drain valves to allow the water to flow from the pipes. Once drained, we will use industrialized compressed air to blow out remaining water from the pipes, backflow device, and sprinkler heads.
During winterization, we will also check the components of your system to ensue that they workcorrectly during the winter. Lastly, we will adjust all valves, reducing the risk of accidental activation during the winter.
